 ML> A fraught subject.

I don't plan to dwell on it overly much.

ML> food-quality mustard grows here like a weed.

Wild mustard is a very invasive weed; wheat and canola farmers hate
it. I have a relative, my sister's FIL, who is a Saskatchewan based
farmer. He grows several acres of mustard for French's and that
field is in the very centre of his farmer surrounded by cattle
pasture but hundreds of yards away from any grain, hay or canola
fields, especially his neighbours'.

 ML> Interesting, maybe even good.

I like it.

ML> Lilli gets Beaver brand zesty deli horseradish sauce, which I
ML> feared, but it is actually not so sweet nor so horrid as my
ML> imagine, and the irritating aftertaste is sort of mayonnaisey
 ML> rather than Miracle Whippy.

We only buy undiluted prepared horseradish: grated horseradish
root, white vinegar, water and salt. From there I can make my own
sauces to taste if I don't want it full strength.
