subject: Kenwood SMC-33 Mic

Hi there, I have a small problem which hopefully somebody out their can
help me with. I have a Kenwood SMC-33 microphone which appears to have a
fault in the curly cord. If i have it inserted in my 2 meter set and the
radio is scanning i only have to move the curly cord ever so slightly and
the radio stops scanning. This fault also appears if i am stopped on a
specific frequency, with movement of the curly cord it will suddenly change
frequency to another memory. The plug on the end is a 2 pin plug with a
3.5mm transmit pin and a 2.5mm receive pin. Aswell as this the microphone
also has 3 memory buttons located on the face of it. What i want to know is
what is the wiring sequence for this mic. Unfortunately Kenwood seemed fit
to put a sealed plug on it and i can't get into it to find out what wire
goes where. Any light that anyone could share on this would be appreciated.
