ML> I've always been a little suspicious of the medical profession,
ML> especially given the mental and moral qualities of some of the
ML> premeds I went to school with, but in the latest cases, it
ML> seems to be the support staff that has fallen down - likely
ML> because of personnel cuts of the modern variety - the most
ML> expensive and experienced staff laid off in preference to the
ML> young and cheap.
It's a different situation here where the health care system is
government run and not a private sector enterprise. A lot of good
doctors are terrible entrepreneurs and business managers. Here, they
are highly paid civil servants who devote all their time to patient
care, and not running a clinic. So are the nurses and all the
assorted support staff. I have only encountered one doctor here who
I thought was sub-par.
I do recall some wild and crazy premed students back when I was a
student but they either flunked out or matured along the way. And we
certainly don't have any practicing doctors here as wacky as Stella
Immanuel; our provincial medical colleges would suspend or terminate
their license to practice fairly promptly.
ML> Mustard of course grows easily in cool climates
ML> as well as warm. Not so sure about horseradish,
ML> but it is pretty hardy.
It's a cool climate annual that will grow in fairly northern places.
You'll get larger, fatter roots with longer summers though.
Lately, as well as doing the usual things like having it with roast
beef I've been adding creamed horseradish to white salad dressings
like ranch to liven them up.

I would sub half mayo and half sour cream for the Miracle Whip,
omit the sugar and add some greenery, parsley perhaps. - JW

... The beef was so undercooked, it ate the salad.
