I think that belief is based on his 214, which was apparently issued
by the training wing at Lackland.  I have to note that in the late 1960s,
the paperwork and orders originated for my outfit came from the 6970th
Support Group at Fort Meade, MD, and had that address on all its correspondence,
orders and forms; at the time my unit was located on Okinawa, just about halfway
around the world from the 6970th.
