 ML> The weather.com forecast is for 102
ML> 107-109 up here on the sunny ledge.
ML> Borrego Springs ... is forecast to be 117

We are having our hottest day so far this year at 79 with a humidex
reading of 86. Tomorrow is forecast to be 82, humidex 89. The record
for July is 89 and for August is 84. This will make a lot of you
laugh but there is a heat warning in effect here.

Our supper menu is going to be iced tea or beer, salads, hotdogs
(made with Italian Smokies, not wieners), cherries and ice cream.

Lexi and Charlee arrived to visit on Tuesday. They have to
self-isolate for 14 days before they go out and socialise. If
Alberta re-opens their schools prematurely, they just might stay
here for a semester.

      Title: Two Mexican Hot Dogs
Categories: Mexican, Grill, Tortillas, Sandwiches, Sausages
      Yield: 2 versions

           Corn tortilla
           Mayo
           Wiener
           Ketchup

How about a Mexican Hot Dog? A corn tortilla with mayo, wiener and
ketchup. I'm sure you can top it anyway you want. You have to sort
of burn the hotdog on top of the burner. They are the best!
  Especially after Midnight.

I spent ages 8-17 in Yuma, AZ, which is pretty well Mexico, and
our family picked up the habit of doing something similar on picnics.
We'd grill hotdogs, and lightly grill flour tortillas, then roll with
salsa verde or ketchup. I still do it occasionally, they are
great. (No one else seems to understand, though.)

MMMMM

I'm OK with the tortillas but not the ketchup and mayo.

Cheers

Jim
