Why should maintenance come out of local pockets when the gas taxes should be
paying for it? Look at the percentage of the price they get on gas and oil
etc? Imagine what truckers are paying per year in taxes.
If the gov't won't provide Federal highway maintenance then states should
withold Federal monies and use it for THEIR infrastructure and highway
maintenance. Simple solution when the gov't blackmails you.
Why pay the gov't just becasue they extort from you? I though John Gotti was
in jail....
