Hello Ben,
There hasn't been much action in this echo area, so I thought that I would
post this question, to keep it active... ;->)
I'm trying to format a series of floppy diskettes, all with unique volume
labels, and I would like to "automate" the process.
=== Cut Begin: CREATE.BAT ===
echo.
echo Insert diskette 1 now...
echo.
format a: /u /v:wfw_disk1
DISK1.EXE A:\
DIR A: /hmw
echo.
pause
echo.
echo Insert diskette 2 now...
echo.
format a: /u /v:wfw_disk2
... etc.
=== Cut End: CREATE.BAT ===
When FORMAT.COM has formatted the diskette and applied the specified volume
label, it asks me if I want to format another floppy (presumedly with the
same volume label) and I have to type N and press the Enter key.
Could I create a N.BAT file that contains the single letter N and a line
feed and use it as input to the format command?
