| subject: | dllrname - Visual Age runtime |
Does anyone have any tips on using DLLRNAME.EXE to rename the Visual Age C++ runtime DLLs? The problem is that the DLLs are not supposed to be shipped "as-is", you have to use a statically linked run-time (inefficient) or rename the DLLs. Does anyone have any samples of how to use DLLRNAME? Another thing I would like to do is to choose named for the DLLs which just happen to be the same as other people use. So if someone uses my software and software written by other people using the same Visual Age runtime then both programs can use the same DLLs with the result being a system that runs faster and also reduced download times. If you know of any released software which uses these runtime DLLs then please tell me what the DLL names are and give me information on how to get the software or get in contact with the author.
