I've dropped into command mode on several occasions while testing dodgy
connects (with +++), and when I issue ATY11 for a display of the line's
frequency characteristics, then repeat at 3-5 second intervals with A/, the
chart has varied quite dramatically in most instances.  The frequency
response is all over the place like a mad woman's shit...
