RC> Oh, it'd be profitable for individuals, but it'd not be

Agreed Robert. Anytime you ban something the results is to make the
item more desired (law of supply and demand takes effect)
RC> DD> Hell, bootleg whiskey used to be a profitable business,
RC> DD> until ABC stores opened up.
RC>
RC> But, that was a holdover from Prohibition - a complete ban,
RC> not just excessive taxation.
Come on Robert, this is the ole Bootleg Whiskey state. prohibition took
place in the 20's. Them thar hills of North Carolina was thriving in
liquor making well into the 60's. The revenewers chased the
bootlegggers into Stock car racing. North Wilksboro race track was
where a bunch of 'um started racing after leaving the bootleg circuit.
Junior Johnson being one of the most popular along with give 'um hell
Wendell (Wendell Scott). ABC stores was what shut down bootleg Whiskey.
RC> True, but a tractor trailer of cocaine would be at least
RC> two orders of magnitude greater in value.
RC>
RC>
RC> DD> Would make a good hijacking target with over a million
RC> DD> bucks worth of habit forming nicotine for the organized
RC> DD> crime boys.
Probably would be worth more and since it is illegal to have coke, and
the seizure of the tractor trailer if caught hauling such an item. Now
like you said previously, if the FDA bans nicotine the product would
increase in price dramtically. I think we are on the same wave length
but not being able to discuss the subject via land line means drags the
discussion out. To bring the discussion back onto topic if that is
possible, is the question of What is Slick Willie really up to? 'Bout
time for the next Limbaugh letter. Maybe there will be some
enlightnment on the subject since it has been in the news.
Thanks for the come back Robert.
