 Did anyone read the book The Return, and the sequel Avenger? I did and
I loved them both. if you are even a slightest bit of a trecky, you have
to read it!! The Return explains how they never found Kirk's body in the
movie Generations (Its actually th sequel to Generations), he was
actually beamed up by Romulans, saved by being modified into BORG, and
destroyed the Borg homeworld. The book Avenger explains how he survived
the death of he Borg homeworld-by these former Borg useing the Karta
(Vulcan mind-meld points), plus this liduid which he was submurdged into
to remove the nanites. He ends up in the book by going to Chal, and
spending the rest of his life with Telani.
 
The weird part was the Sarek didn't die of bendii syndrome...he was
poisioned. And the reason the title AVENGER was Kirk avenged the death
of Sarek
