I was asked my my cousins to find out how much their 1882 Colt Single
Action Army Revolver is worth.

They did authenticate their gun with Colt who supplied the following
information based on the serial number:

Serial:  83704
Caliber:  .44/40
Barrel Length:  not listed
Finish:  Nickel
Type of stocks:  not listed
Shipped to:  Simmons Hardware Company
Address: St. Louis, Missouri
Date of Shipment:  November 16, 1882
Number of same type of guns in shipment: 25

The gun has since been case hardened and curly maple stocks have
replaced the originals.  Otherwise all the serial numbers match and
the gun appears to be in great condition.
