Yes it is.  I expect that MB makers will start dropping the port,  too, 
even though it has other uses.

I was talking to a guy at a computer store in the area today,  and am
inclined to go with laser rather than inkjet,  also something a little
older,  like maybe H-P 4, 5, 6 series,  somewhere around there.  He had
some 6c printers there for $89,  but I want to shop around a bit and see if
I can't find a better deal.
