Hi Gail.... I've tried this on some small projects (no walls yet) and
have watched a few videos on how it's suppose to be done. They said your
sponge should be dampened before you put it in the paint... and have a layer
of newspaper or paper towels handy to do some blotting if there seems to be
excess paint in the sponge. It's a good idea if you have a piece of board
you could paint... then practice a little first. Also you need a lot of
wrist action to keep it from looking to much like a pattern. I've been out
house hunting and saw a house that they had done one wall a dark green then
sponge painted white over it... it was really pretty. The newest thing is to
do it with a feather duster. Hope this helps!
