Not really. It's just a guide vocal to help record the basic track.
Anybody could sing it, but it's usually easier for a guitarist to sing
it than a drummer.  John sang the guide vocal for Ringo's recording of
"Only You," which Lennon certainly didn't write.

The "Hare Krishna" remains on the final released version.  It's just
