        he left the James Gang. Common knowledge.

        Bolin did some fusion stuff and was credible (check out 
        Billy Cobham's _Spectrum_ album_). Joe Walsh never really 
        stretched outside of rock, so it's kind of hard to 
        compare. Bolin couldn't have done "Hotel California" but 
        then again, it's not certain Walsh could have kept up 
        with Alphonse Mouzon.
