Season's Greetings Robert,
RK> I suppose another nice weeeknd in Lotus land. Saturday here was most
RK> terriffic, Sunday ( today on the other hand ) was cold and wet and real
RK> windy. Did't go far in Toy Box this weekend, only over to Handlands,
RK> but there were a lot of folks over there that we knew and ... drink
RK> drink eat eat you know how it goes. Did meet up with Struther and Sheila
RK> for a drink late Saturday night. They come over to our Club a bit ( I
RK> think mostly Frdiay nights ) and we are never there :-( So it was nice
RK> to catch up with them. He has a great boat and I think they are really
RK> enjoying it.
-------------------------
An absolutly terrific weekend out here. Tons of sunshine and
moderate winds on the water. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that you're
bunping into Struther a lot these days. I guess he's out tearing up the
lake every chance he gets! :^) If I had a Jeanneau 36 (or 41 for instance
:^), I know I'd be doing the same thing! I kinda feel bad for you guys
though, the month of October approaches and we all know what that means :^(
Just keep remembering all the great moments of the summer and before you
know it, it'll be May!
RK> This is the time of year that I think living in Vancouver would be
RK> great, wouldn't have to hauk the boat, could sail on into the later
RK> months.
-------------------------
I can hardly wait to get my own boat and do some exploring along
this great coastline! I've passed the desperation point and am willing to
accept anything that floats... especially if it's a Swan! I figure
it's nearing that time when you'll be out here again. Hopefully I'll have
a boat to show you! :^) I'll be racing on Gino's beautiful C&C 41 this
weekend in Washington and am expecting two sunny days with stiff, 15kt
breezes. He's really brought up his boat to superb standards.
RK> Hope all is well and you are keeping out of mischief.
------------------------
Trying... sometimes successfully
RK> Augustine how seriously did you injure your hand, was it your finger/s
RK> are you all healed up now ?
---------------------------
It was bad enough for me to take 3 weeks off work... read: enough
for ME to take 3 weeks. Most other people are crazy enough to have gone
back the following day. I think I really should have taken a couple of
months. The cut was at the back of my hand where the tendons are. I was
in total shock when it happened and was actually traumatized for months! I
still cringe at the thought of how close I came to doing some real serious
damage. As it turned out though, I took 3 stitches and am back to playing
Bach and other popular favourites :^) In fact, I'm applying for a 20K
bursury to do a CD this winter :^) The whole thing kinda taught not to
look a horse in the face... er... or something like that. I'm not actually
sure what I learned from it other than that chop saws hurt and it's wise to
keep hands, fingers, and all other body parts away from power saws!
RK> Take care and drop me a post ... let me know what's going on.
------------------
Will do! I'm looking forward to when I can tell you that I bought a
boat! Enjoy the reat of the Indian Summer and get yourself some real
sailing done!
Cheers,
Augustin~~~===
