Yes the modem speaker is hooked up as it's the only non-line level
audio I've got without moving the stereo over here.
A sound app will output through the modem speaker but of limited volume.
I had thought of trying Hyperterminal but with all the
stuff I've had on my plate the last few days
I've just been using the hardware external.

I can imagine, actually don't have to as Verizon's done this to
me on a couple off occassions.
