If it supports booting from a CD-ROM then it will support booting from a
DVD-ROM.  They both are ATAPI unless they are SCSI.

I have built both bootable CD's and DVD's and there is no difference other
then the formatting when buring them which should be of no consequence if
you don't ever plan on building iso's.  Burning them is a slightly
different story but seeing you're just using someone else's root/boot (live
version) then I'd take that issue up with them if it is a problem.

The live version of ttylinux works great and isn't bloated.  Mind you no
GUI stuff so it doesn't have to be bloated.  :-)
