I went from 5.1 to 6.0a (DOS). I too wanted to get WYSIWYG advantages. At
that time 6.0a had "fax" problems that 6.0b was supposed to address. Maybe
this explains the current problem you are having with 6.0.
I didn't need the FAX features, but I grabbed the next upgrade by that time:
6.0c. I reported a font rendering problem in one of the character sets I
was using. At that time Novell was nice enough to send me a free 6.0c
version at the time. I had a few rough starts in 6.0c (it needed more
memory resources and a *much* higher FILES= value) but since then I've had no
problems with it.
BTW.. I was and still am using WP 6.0c in an OS/2 DOS environment.
