--- Sez MICHAEL DOYLE to GEORGE ERDNER ---
GE>MD> þ OLX 2.1 TD þ Built for comfort - I ain't built for speed.
GE>Ah, a modified version of a lyric from Jim Steinman's title song from
GE>the album "Bad for Good" -- "I wasn't built for comfort, I was built for
GE>speed". The album is also home to some songs that sound like they are
GE>Prog-Rock...
MD> ...it's the title of an old blues written by Willie
MD> Dixon originally for Howlin' Wolf, released by Chess records as a
MD> single back when it was called "race music." I suppose Jim Steinman,
MD> whoever the hell that is, lifted the line...
Steinman was perhaps trying to distance himself from his collaborator
Meat Loaf (or Mr. Loaf as he is sometimes known), who is built like Leslie
West or Sam Kinison or the naked Italian on the cover of the _Banco_ LP,
not quite in Chester Burnett's league. 300 pounds of joy... Jim's more
of a Todd Rundgren wannabe?
DM
... Will the REAL Dr. DOYLE please report to Neurosurgery immediately!
