JS> mentality. As a result of permissiveness, we have Jonesboro shootings
JS> more frequently now.
JS> In short, we have reaped what we have sown, as a society. And we
JS> continue to condone such behavior for either economic or political
JS> expediency.
Every generation wants to make things easier for its offspring.
Sadly, many in our generation failed to learn the values of the
generation before us, which meant we were already at a
disadvantage when time came to pass along our values to the
generation that followed.
In addition, teenage rebellion is a fact of life...and kids are
entering that part of their lives, both physically and
emotionally, earlier than did previous generations. If today's
parents include a large number of people who are afraid of guns
and won't even permit cap pistols in their homes, it follows that
their offspring will be interested in guns. It also follows that
those offspring won't know diddly about the consequences of using
guns, since they never had a chance to learn.
JS> One must wonder if Dee Dee was also a "victim" of the unagroper or
JS> perhaps another "willing" participant in the hijinks that have gone on
JS> at the People's House?
She's young, reasonably attractive, and was supposedly in his
presence every working day. OTOH, she's also taller than his
usual prey and probably strong enough to snap him in two. Perhaps
he didn't dare sendthe Secret Service agents away when she was
in the office.
JS> Although it would be poetic justice, somehow I don't think in the real
JS> world his diplomatic immunity would be limited or qualified. Although
JS> it would be an embarassment to the country, he certainly wouldn't care.
As an alternative, perhaps we can get him a government post as a
bath-house inspector in San Francisco.
