Just don't ask it to be too accurate. If you're dealing with something
where a user presses a button to start/stop things, that's generally not
a problem. If you're trying to do timing much more accurate than to the
millisecond or so, it becomes a lot more of a problem in a hurry.

Hmm...unless you've got a copy of MFC, I doubt it'd do you any good.

Well, yes, that is a bit of a problem. I s'pose I _could_ write a
version without a class library, or write version using OWL, but since I
already have a version using MFC, it's open to question whether I'd be
ambitious enough to do either. OTOH, a lot of people like to compare
the three approaches, and posting some concrete code for each _might_ be
interesting. OTOH, it mght also lead to lots of silly arguments, which
I'm not excited about either...
