this is what i was speaking of... not having ever had any need to use
squish, i was unaware that one didn't have to run it in that one pass
mode... i quite simply wasn't aware...

RC> This isnt a weakness with a BSO, rather how people want to use

right... i wasn't tromping on BSO or other outbound styles, really... more
on those tossers that don't take the intermediate step of breaking netmail
out into MSG format before putting it into the next PKT...

RC> Those running a BSO with their tossers in "one pass mode"

hehehe...

that or find a working telnet IP shim for the windows platform... or remain
with the OS/2 platform and software already available for it at lower cost
than winstuff for the BBS and do all the other stuff on winwhatever

RC> If you must rail against a outbound style, go look after
 RC> Platinum Express or D'Broke.

oh no... i've a guy here that is a d'broke fan and just can't seem to get
wrapped around the new stuff even though he's chomping at the bit to get on
with the new methods... he just can't seem to get away from old habits and
familiarities...

 RC> :-)

RC>>> I can do the PING thing accurately with my setup.

RC> I havent finished setting it up yet, but it will as I have
RC> shown you in my setup above.

i hear ya... i'm kinda also looking to test the trace function since there
was that message recently that stated that they hadn't found a way to
perform it...
