Well, from my experience with Fiddle, I think it's a good idea to have them
checked at about 2. She had a couple of retained caps that were a problem,
as well as her wolf teeth, which had to come out. I'm sure it depends on the
horse, but I'd be on the safe side. Especially if you've got a horse showing
any signs of trouble at all. Don't want to be bitting up a baby who's got
mouth pain! And, if you have someone who knows how to do it right, you can
acclimate the horse at a young age to having their mouth worked on.
