subject: NETMAIL?

GM> I have just checked the copy of the message that was

that is one of the ways that QWK stuff is incompatible with FTNs...
assuming that you are using QWK, that is... it is also possible that you
have to post netmail to another message area... on my system, netmail is a
seperate message area from all other message areas... what area did my
netmail arrive in over there?

GM> I'm not sure how to format the To: field for netmail or how to
GM> do the first line method, as it's years since I tried either one.

this would depend on the QWK door being used... again, assuming QWK... see
above for additional... and then, one could always ask the sysop how to do
it or where the instructions are

GM> I'll try some variations with copies of this message.

i haven't seen anything, yet...

GM> The problem is that I remember the correct format for the To:
GM> field. IIRC the format for the "first line" style was the same
GM> as the header To: field, whatever that might have been. There
GM> isn't any reference in the Blue wave docs to netmail
 GM> addressing format.

ahh, seems that this confirms the QWK suspicion... yeah, it won't be in the
reader docs... possibly in the DOOR's user help area...

 GM> So I'm trying
GM> To: Mark Lewis 1:3634/12 in the message header
GM> To: Mark Lewis{at}1:3634/12 in the message header
GM> To: Mark Lewis (1:3634/12) in the message header
GM> To: 1:3634/12 in the message header and To: Mark Lewis in the
 GM> first line

GM> Many more variations are possible but I'll try these for the
 GM> start.

let's see what happens... and don't forget to be doing it in the proper
message area >
