BL> Where did you get Goldstar VCRs in 1988 when we had exclusivity
BL> for their *first* VCR in 1990?

BG> Maybe, like most Asians, they were telling you monstrous
 BG> porkies.

My little mate is also an Asian. He uses his Asian porky filter.

BL> You obviously believe these were Goldstar VCRs and perhaps they
 BL> were.

BG> Absolutely NO doubt about it. And just quietly, they were a
BG> contributing reason for my pissing off from Chandlers the first
BG> time (although for reasons I still haven't fathomed, I returned
 BG> 2 years later).

The alternative is a conspiracy of Goldstar and their engineers who
were also convinced it was the first VCR they'd made. My guess is that
your "Goldstars" are rebadged something else.

BG> Nope, definitely not. You could always ring Chandlers up here
 BG> and ask. :)

I don't have to ring anyone up... I was there.

Regards,
Bob
