Mungbeans in Sugar Syrup
categories: sweet, Chinese, stripped down, acquired taste
servings: 4
1 c Dried Mung Beans
1 c Sugar
5 c Water
Look over the beans and discard any bad ones.
Wash the beans and soak in warm water for 3 hr
to overnight. Wash again and drain.
Pour the water in a pot, add the mungbeans,
and cook on medium until tender (about 30 min).
Add sugar, and stir until dissolved. Bring to a
boil, then remove from heat. Serve hot.
