Heck, most kids grades limit their college choice possibilities.....come 
to think of it, finances play a more important role....I know it limited 
mine....I didn't even apply to Yale.

Statistically speaking, it's rather unlikely that a kid would offend on 
his/her 16th birthday....they'd be too busy reading their cards and 
opening presents....and don't forget that many birthdays do happen when 
kids are not in school.
