if i'm reading rightly, the above is a side-thread about ttylinux, right?
if so, i'd like to see a firewall setup that allows for multiple network
cards with individually assignable IPs (internal and at least one external
for a dsl or cable modem) as well as the ability to use a modem for dialup
as the main or backup connection method...

i've been running coyote firewall on a couple of boxes for a while but i'm
getting to the place where i don't like to have to have several backups of
the floppy (it is a floppy only setup) in case it/they start to go south...
i think i'd like to play around with something that is HD based that is
secured from HD writes without some kind of "special" method of
saving config changes...

i'd possibly be interested in something CD bootable but machines older than
PII capability usually don't have bootable CD capabilities... i've
definitely not found any 486's that do ;)
