I like MM because it was the first one I encountered and I'm used to
it. Another plus is that it's freeware. On the downside it's a DOS
program s if you are running a version of Windows new er than XP,
you need a DOS emulator. Also it doesn't handle grapics like modern
WIN based programs and it doesn't have a native nutrition analysis
function like MC does.

Title: Phoebe's Pumpkin and Sausage Soup
Categories: Sausage, Soups, Chicken, Mushrooms, Dairy
Yield: 6 Servings
2 c Mashed pumpkin
4 c Chicken broth
1/2 c Minced onion
1 c Finely chopped mushrooms
1/2 c Heavy cream
1/2 c Water
1 Clove garlic; minced
1 tb Italian Seasoning
1/2 lb Spicy sausage
Brown sausage, drain, and then add the onion, garlic and herbs.
When the sausage is browned, stir in the pumpkin. Stir in the
broth and mix well. Simmer 20-30 minutes. Stir in the cream and
simmer on low another 10-15 min. Taste and add salt/pepper as
needed.

I used 12 oz Bob Evans hot breakfast sausage, and it is nice and
spicy. Really hits the spot.
I sprinkle a little fresh Parmesan cheese over it before serving.
It goes great with fresh biscuits ... regular or low carb.
