BR>| TW> soem are agast at the fact that for outside Recieve only antennas I BR>| TW> perfer Quad Shielded 75 Ohm Coaxial Cable. And that is for the BR>Stripped I assume? I use coax to *feed* my CB Base and TV Antenna ... the CB BR>antenna is still down from hurricane Lili, got to remount that one . I was speaking of using it for a Feed Line in this case. BUT i nthe Early years of CB, in the days you had to get a "Licence", I did build an 11 meter Coaxial Antenna out of RG-58. Worked very well. And was quite a bit cheaper then the base antennas of the day. My first Citizens Band Mobile was a Ratheon Unit with a Vibrator and Vacuum tubes. Has a 108 Inch Fiberglass whip for a while but I got tired of it hitting things and later aquired a shorter Helical Wound Fiberglass antenna. The antennas were built by the Shakespere Fishing Pole people. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ This note from El Cajon California USA* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
