David, at 14:37 on Jun 01 1996, you wrote to Bill Grimsley... BG>> USR's SDLs are written in C++ and compiled with Borland. db> Borland, eh? No wonder they're full of bugs... ;-) BG> I don't program, so if that was a joke, it went straight over my head. BG> Mind you, if it's true, it still went straight over my head. :) db> Just be thankful your USR doesn't decide to turn into a toaster at a db> moment's notice. ;-) You may well laugh, but it appears that the latest US/Canada SDL is killing USR's flash-ROM chips like flies at the moment. Mine happened to flash OK, whilst poor old Russell managed to annihilate 60% of his Courier collection in just one fell swoop. 3 out of his 5 are now fucked, and it appears that they'll need to go back to the US for replacement of the flash-ROM chip. I now await the expected snide comments from Rod and Paul... Regards, Bill @EOT: --- MsgedSQ/2 3.30* Origin: Logan City, SEQ (3:640/305.9) SEEN-BY: 640/305 711/934 @PATH: 711/934 |
