       Well, I was lucky. I got mine, Maxprop, from a friend who knew a
friend who was selling them and doled out $550.00 US for it. I still
swear by it. I allowed me to pitch it to 9.5 degrees and thus allow my
Yanmar to rev up a little more for the same push and got rid of the
black smoke syndrone. My original Michigan prop was a 16 x 10. I got a
16 x 9.5 Maxprop now. I am evan toying with the idea of going to
  16 x 9 even. At 2000 rpm I get 5.25 Kts and that is nice going on a
calm day using the AMS 4404 to give me a G/C wake.
