Reminded me (a little bit late) of this.
You can also try to change things on her computer remotely.
I use TeamViewer:
https://www.teamviewer.com/en/download/windows/
I had a cousin install it on her laptop and I have it installed on my
PC.
When she starts the program, she gets some id-number.
She calls me (could also send email) that id-number.
When I put that id-number in my TeamViewer I get a window with her
computer screen.
I can than do whatever has to be done, while she is watching what is
happening on the screen at her home.
Saves me a trip of 300 km.
With TeamViewer you could go into the registry of her computer yourself.
:-)
