Ya know--not every story has to be a WHAM.  Modest tales told modestly 
have their advantages.  I looked at these two stories as what they were 
advertised to be: lost tales.  You don't usually lose big stories, but 
you do lose the things in the corners, or under the desk, or behind the 
sofa.  They're nice to find when you do find them, and they can fill in 
the edges rather nicely.

Now, once we get a big budget so we can populate the station properly 
and build real sets (sorry, the technology still isn't there that can 
hide the green screen at this economic level yet--but it's a darn sight 
better than it used to be, and props to everyone involved for making it 
look as good as it did!), then we can hope for and expect WHAMs.

We also need to remember that JMS is working in a different medium now, 
with different controls.  He's not beholden to a network and advertisers 
any more.  He really gets to write what he wants and present it in the 
way he wants.  As I think he's said somewhere else (not necessarily in 
these words), Joe writes what *he* would like to see and if we follow 
him, that's great. If not, oh well.

Yes, I would have liked a more detailed look.  Yes, I would have liked a 
little more physical action.  Yes, I liked the philosophical action. 
Yes, I'm glad it was made.  And, most definitely, yes I want more!
