Hi Julia,
Long time no talk!!! You seem to be up and at em again! I was reading how
excited you are at getting your craft room all orangized and what you would
put into what cabnet when they finally where installed!
I'm green with envy! Really!
My son just informed me he has found an apartment and will be trying his own
wings starting the end of June. I'm a little sad to see him go but I'm
excited about having a room free to use as MY craft room!! I'm afraid it is
not going to be big enough to unpack all my stuff :-(
Atleast I will get all my cross stitching and paper supplies into it!!! Those
are my favorite two! The sewing stuff can stay down stairs till another child
decides to "wing it" on their own.
I did come across a really neat paper craft I thought you might like. It
combines quilting patterns with embossing watercolor paper.
You make a template of the quilting pattern and pressure emboss the paper.
Then fabric/colored paper/paint could be applied to the embossed paper.
It was really neat looking. You could put a number of patterns together using
colored strips of paper/felt/fabric and make a wall hanging or a mini pattern
on a card front or.... there are just so many ideas you could apply the
technique too!
Since you quilt and do paper crafts I thought I would pass this along!
Take care
Gail
