As long as it's cooked, Marilyn. I find it a bit difficult to start;
the seeds are large and difficult to germinate. One method calls for
pouring boiling (!) water over them and letting sit for 24 hours
before sowing. And you have to give them a fair amount of room. They
just keep growing till frost. And you clip only the tender ends of the
stems.
I have never tried Malabar spinach - sounds interesting. :-)
