just do:

which yields (emx/gcc 0.9a):

  #define __32BIT__ 1
  #define __EMX__ 1
  #define i386 1

the following variables are documented:

  #if defined(__EMX__)
       printf("emx version: %u, %x, %s\n", _emx_rev, _emx_vcmp, _emx_vprt);
  #endif

which prints:

  emx version: 34, 302e3961, 0.9a
