Good Morning, Darrell -
DS> I run max on os/2 with sio and vmodem to allow telnet sessions.
DS> Everything runs fine, until a user tries to run a program (door) that
DS> utilizes a com port. I then get an error from OS/2 that the com port
DS> is in use. How do I fix this? Here is my sio.sys line from
DS> config.sys:
DS> DEVICE=F:\SIO\SIO.Sys (COM1:115200,,IRQ4,-) (COM2:115200,,IRQ3,-)
DS> (COM3,INTERNET:3E8,NONE,7) (COM4,INTERNET:2E8,NONE:2)
Here's mine:
DEVICE=C:\SIO\SIO.SYS (COM2:57600,2F8,IRQ3,-) (COM3:57600,3E8,IRQ10,-)
(COM4:57600,2E8,IRQ5,-) (COM1,INTERNET:3F8,NONE:11)
I run the BW door with zero problems. Note that COM1 is my mouse and
SIO lets me double up on it.
DS> Also, does anyone have a door or mex that will properly format email
DS> messages for users?
BW does. I'm not sure where you get it now...
Since I gate email with mGate, I have a local area for EMAIL. It doesn't
get scanned by my tosser.
Best,
dave
