That is true.  However, shooting at anything before trying to resolve the 
matter in other ways is unconscionable.  I know there are places where cats 
have to be restrained by law, but this is not the case in most places.
The problem here is, I don't get any idea that there has been any attempt to 
resolve the matter in any other way.

The child wasn't playing with the weapon.  It was some a**h**le popping 
off--maybe at a cat, perhaps?--without any idea where the pellets were ending 
up.  Had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with children playing with weapons.

I'm an animal rights activist, an animal lover, and a cat owner (they stay 
inside).  It did not sound like a joke to me.  And if you want other people 
to stay on topic, YOU stay on topic.

The so-called "chemicals" involved are natural, organic elements which pose 
absolutely no threat to anyone.   We are talking about bitter apple spray, 
citronella, things of that nature.  Research is good.
