Hello Shawn, >LL>For an outside cat it would be suicide to have it declawed. But if it >LL>is an inside cat, it needs no claws to hunt or to defend itself. SH>That's the whole point I'm trying to make, he's not now nor ever going SH>outside. If he escaped that's a 19 story drop (We are on back of building SH>with the basment level counted) and even /IF/ he survived that he's be SH>stunned enough that by the time I got down there I could pick him up. Millions of people own housepets. Although PETA may vehemently object, some cats need to be declawed, for obvious reasons. Cats can survive a plunge from the top of a house or a tree, but it is not likely for any cat to survive a plunge from a skyscraper or multistory apartment complex. Even if it does have all its claws. SH>But again, he doesn't go outside and that includes the balcony as we SH>are afraid he would try to jump on a bird. He's very interested in birds. Oh, there is a stray cat that comes around here just about every day. And I feed it whenever it comes by. Except when I find feathers in the driveway. He just loves fresh bluejays. Especially bluejays. :) --Lee * SLMR 2.1a * Backup not found: (A)bort (R)etry (P)anic --- SBBSecho 2.12-Win32* Origin: Collin County Station (1:124/6308) SEEN-BY: 10/1 3 11/201 14/300 400 34/999 90/1 106/1 120/228 123/500 134/10 SEEN-BY: 140/1 222/2 226/0 229/4000 236/150 249/303 261/20 38 100 1381 1404 SEEN-BY: 261/1406 1418 266/1413 280/1027 320/119 633/260 262 267 712/848 SEEN-BY: 801/161 189 2222/700 2800/18 2905/0 @PATH: 124/6308 5025 106/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
