subject: KNOPPIX 3.9 last CD

TA>TW>WC>I've no problems so far with Knoppix at all.

TA>TW>WC>sorry you've not shared that good fortune.

TA>TW>Wel lit is HIGHLY overated as far as it's use by the LINUX novice. And I
TA>TW>don't understand why a "REAL" LINUX fan wouild even
use it. Isin't it an
TA>TW>Insult to their Intelegence??

TA>That may well be your experience with it Tom. My favored use of
TA>KNOOPIC live cd is to regain control of mess-dos/windose systems
TA>that have been corrupted by defragging HDs and/or maintainance stuff.

TA>I find the Simply-MEPIS live cd linux O/S distro much more usefull
TA>in familarizing myself with linux, and very good support.

That is my Hope and why I got a freind to download 3.9 for me.
BUT it sure is NOT clicking. But that is nothing new for me.
I tried off and on since 1948 to learn Morse Code and NEVER did.
I have given it up now as a lost cause .Perhapos in 10 years I will do
the Same with LINUX, BUT hopefully I can put Apply *nix on one of my
Intel/AMD paltforms some day before I die and Live Happily ever after.
:-) :-)
