Hello Jim, we were saying !
JH> Hey, send some of that chilly air down this way - - as I'm typing
JH> this, it is 90 DegF in shade on the screen porch at 2PM. Earlier this
JH> week, we had a couple days of 95+, with air quality alerts to boot.
We had this in Montreal about 10 days ago. Here the forcast calls
for 40 F overnight. Calls for two blankets.
JH> OK, but I found an _excellent_ writeup on repairing the newer 9.9/15HP
JH> models on internet. Most of the procedures should be about the same.
Having the proper manual is always better. But they are indeed all
more or less alike.
JH> I'd guess even cooler up there - - farther north and with the width of
JH> river full of cold water up there adding dampness. BTW, about what is
JH> the temperature of River water up at Kamouraska this time of year?
JH> BIR you have strong tides, but is the water fresh at K, or
JH> salt/brackish? Any fish to be caught there this time of year?
We are on a shore where the tides go out dry, about 1 mile
average. It leaves behind a mud flat that will heat up with the sun.
When the tide comes in, the temperature will rise to 80+ F. Seeing as
you asked, the river temperature is around 45 F in the channel.
JH> Same from here to L. How do they put up with us?
I do not know about S. but L. neve earned a penny. I got her
cornered. She is the proverbial kept woman. Hooots !
The BIOS on this Thinkpad got updated today.
Still runs !
