Misnomer, it's not a residence, home or RV, it's a place of business.
Been considered that since the horse and wagon days. Few drivers "live"
in their trucks, most use the sleeper on long hauls, and motel it two or
three times a week. The same consideration is made to the living
quarters for trans oceanic pilots that have living quarters on board,
maritime personnel, etc.
