Hallo, Sondra!
Thank you for answering.
MK>> 1. In this period of sunny early autumn days there are flying spider
SB> >threads through the air with little spiders on it spreading out. These
SB> >threads are reminding of old women's grey long hair.
SB>
SB> FAscinating. But why old women and not old men? Oh yeah, right. Many
SB> old men are bald. You have to have hair to have grey hair.
:-)
Here is No 4 - from a matchbox; it *must* be historical:
The superstitous belief regarded the flying spider threads for a web
created of elfs, dwarfs, mythological female spinners.
This web causes the fairweather period end of September. Female entities
(right word?), hidden and immortal, donate us these beautiful days. Their
mystical names shouldn't be mentioned or they would not spin again.
To honor them this period was called 'Altweibersommer'.
SB> Actually, forever, if you look at inner beauty.
This makes a wonderful tagline!
SB> I like them all. I think the first and the third have more poetic
SB> posibilities, however.
The author in you will like the fourth one even more, doesn't she?
SB> I'll see what I
SB> can do, however.
Thank you! But please don't spend to much time for tracing! You might
invest it instead in a new wonderful poem? :-) [maybe about
Altweibersommer?]
