The problem with getting into the topic of religion is that there are so many
brands and flavors. The big debate has been over "Christian" references, as
if all of the various denominations can be covered by one generic reference,.
Yet what you refer to as "facts" based on the Bible are not interpreted the
same way by all Christians. I am a Christian, yet some people have tried to
tell me I am not because we do not agree on all issues of doctrine.
Despite the fact that I am Christian, firmly accepting and following Jesus
Christ, I may find some of the "Christian" curriculums offensive or possibly
just inacurrate. 
Perhaps it would be best to say such-and-such curriculum fits in well with
Baptist teachings, or Methodist, or LDS...rather than just "Christian". I
don't think the curriculum has been made that all Christians can agree on.
That aside, I homeschool for academic reasons, not religious. While religion
is part of the teaching I give my children at home, it would be whether I
homeschooled or not. I don't believe isolating my children from the rest of
the world is neccesary for their spiritual growth.
...but to each his own. The reasons for homeschooling are as varied as the
people themselves.
