Hi Stefan,
SS> I'm not sure whether I fully understand what your
SS> problem is, but maybe either the IBM Neighborhood
SS> Enabler or the IBM Client for Win95 might solve your
 SS> problem.
Thanks for the info, it adds some bits I was not aware of. Your solution is
one method of solving the problem butit appears to require either LAN Server
or an update to each client. The method I was looking for does not require
LAN Server itself, nor does it change the Windows clients, it is a product
that can install on ANY client within the neighbourhood and services that
neigbourhood. It does not have to be placed on a Server.
The solution I heard about (but skipped because of the cost...) is a 3rd
party product that will advertise for any SMB environment you wish to
configure, allowing visbility across Windows, OS/2, SAMBA and just about any
other SMB based environments you can name. Unfortunately, while it does solve
the problem, it was rather expensive for a small (<10) number of stations. I
was looking for something a little more wallet friendly........;-)
SS> Pardon me if I misunderstood your problem.
No worries there I think you were pretty close to the mark.............;-)
Thanks for your thoughts..............pk.
