Hi Donald...

DT> If you want new versions of Lord igms, or rte200 patches of several
DT> dozen old ones, check my Lord IGMs Page.
 DT> http://www.fidotel.com/public/camelot/camelot6.htm

I did, at the time I was looking for updated IGMs, and snagged a few.

DT> Unless you are already running it, you will probably want to check
DT> out Lord v4.06 and v4.07 beta, which has to be installed on top of
 DT> v4.06.

I'm still running 4.00a here, with the RTE patched.

DT> You can get copy of lord406.zip from the
 DT> www.nightfallgames.com/files/ web-site, from its Programs
 DT> directory.

I will check it out.

DT> You are supposed to get Lord betas directly from Michael Preslar,
DT> and do so in this fashion. Write email to
DT> e_maus{at}covingtononline.com . Message subject: Send Me Lord. (If
DT> you want betas of Lord II, use "Send me Lord2". For beta of
DT> Planets:TEOS, you would use "Send me TEOS". )

DT> Content of message is not important since messages are
DT> processed by a robot mail program. You'll get the beta archive -
 DT> either betalord.zip, betalrd2.zip, or betateos.zip within an hour.
DT> The robot system mails out requested betas at the end of each hour.

OK, I will try that too.

DT> If you want to beta test Lord for Windows beta or Lord for Linux
DT> beta - known as Lord/32 and Lord/X, you will need to specifically
DT> ask for them by writing to Michael Preslar at
 DT> mpreslar{at}mailcity.com, or mike{at}lordlegacy.com. Neither
DT> one can run igms yet.

This is still DOS system running in OS/2.

DT> For details on what has happened in the Lord realm since you last
 DT> were part of it,
DT> you can read issues of Castle Camelot Lord Authors Newsletter on my
DT> web-site. Current issue is #14, still in development, located at
 DT> http://www.fidotel.com/public/camelot/ccigm-14.htm. It's been in
DT> development for over a year, but is mostly fully current. I get
DT> sidetracked from newsletter work by my Lord programming work/hobby.

I have it in a browser window now, & have bookmarked it.

DT> If you'll provide a list of the Lord igms you currently use, I or
DT> someone will be able to tell specifically which ones are supported
DT> today or are classified as abandoned.

The current ones are: Barak's House V2.02; Players Market V0.13 (patched);
The Jeweller V1.2 (patched); TimeLord V1.0b (patched); Marty's Mercantile
V2.2; Outlands Tavern V1.5a & The Pawnshop V3.40.

(Would you believe a user came online & started playing LORD while I was
in it looking at the IGMs. There has been a mini-revival here lately of
former & new users telnetting to play LORD etc. I registered Lord with
Seth 9 years ago, & recently sent off a money order to Metropolis / Gameport
for Lord 2 & Planets:TEOS, but no response yet )

Cheers, Steve..
