No, you can't sew shank buttons by machine so I guess you'll just have
to work thru them by hand. Of my machines, only the Juki doesn't do
anything but a straight stitch, no attachments. The Featherweight will
do buttonholes with a zig zag attachment specifically for that but won't
sew on the buttons. The other 4 machines will both make the buttonholes
and sew on the (non shank) buttons. Don't think a home machine has ever
been developed that'll sew on shank buttons.
